During the summer term 2023, this course is offered for students who are enrolled at the member universities of the University Network for Asian Studies (Jyväskylä, Tampere and Turku), and for self-paying students of the Asia Network.
East and Southeast Asia has one-quarter of the world population and is a fast growing economic region. This course provides you with basic information about business and management practices in this macro-region.
This course covers various aspects of business and management practices such as location decision, market access and supply chains. Students learn about individual countries as well as regional economic integration.
The course is based on the textbook Doing Business in Asia. Students who take this course are expected to read the book. The book will be available at least in the libraries of the universities in Jyväskylä, Tampere and Turku. Different online assignments such as quizzes, summaries and discussion tasks support students’ learning process.
The language of the course is English.
