The course opens on 22th of January 2024.

The MOOC course content includes both practical and theoretical elements. During the course, the students are introduced to the use of a pedagogic tool, Food Futures App, that provides data on meals' sustainability values. The application visualizes individual and collective impact of more sustainable meal choices, providing a means to measure, record and recognize how sustainable meal choices have an impact on reducing Green House Gas emissions, water usage, and material waste, among other variables of sustainability.

In addition to the tool, the instructed course content covers literature that helps theoretically understand the difficulty of making sustainable choices, and how remedies such as the Food Futures app can help empower sustainable collective action. This course content includes the data science behind the app (such as use of data analysis in assessing collective impact), the tragedy of the commons and remedies, negative and positive externalities and overcoming challenges related to them, and the negligibility of single individuals' environmental impact.
