After completing this course the student is able to define what is the concept of open data and learn how to discover and to use it as a research resource. The student learns about terms and conditions of accessing and using open data.
Students will also learn practical measures which help he/she to decide whether to open data or not and what part of it could be opened. Student will also learn how to evaluate what data repository features should be addressed when choosing a data repository for their own use.
Student will also learn and understand the meaning of open license, the different types of open license and its applicability.
