This course studies the Nordics,
Nordic societies and cultures, Nordic cooperation and exceptionalism.
After completing this course students will be able to:
1. Identify the main geographical, political and cultural themes related to the Nordics
2. Analyse the term “Nordics”
3. Debate and explain the idea of the “Distributed Nordic Region”
4. Identify and contextualise internal and external constructions of the Nordics
5. Identify the separate national and regional distinctions in the Nordics
6.
Apply this knowledge to academic and work-related situations; and
enhance the students´ skills and ability to identify sources for data on
Nordic societies - literacy in the digital and analogue environment.
