‘Leadership for sustainable change’ is a course about sustainable world and how to get there. First, the course provides you with the background material that you need to understand sustainability: natural resources, environmental cycles, and the changing climate system. The second part of the course concentrates on transformation theories and leadership practices. The third part of the course revolves around the learning, thinking, and philosophy of sustainability.
Course learning goals:
- what are the great challenges of sustainability and how are they related
- how to lead change in complex systems, such as utilising the circular economy
- what skills, knowledge and attitudes does a professional change-maker need
This is a two-credits version of the course, offered to University of Helsinki students (course code ATM383) and via Climate University network (see www.climateuniversity.fi).
