Do you have a moment to talk about climate emotions?

 

Climate change is a highly discussed phenomenon that one can not avoid. However, the emotions and thought climate change evokes are often ignored. Thinking and Talking about Climate MOOC is an open and free-of-charge course that gamifies research on climate emotions and climate interaction. The course is worth 2 ECTS.

The learning goals of this MOOC are:

 

  • To recognize how the climate emotions of oneself and others affect the interaction.
  • To understand the concepts of climate emotions and factors that affect them.
  • To understand the climate emotions of oneself and others.
  • To know how to maintain hope and performance, as well as to communicate and influence climate hope.

To whom is this course meant for?

This course is meant for everyone interested in climate topics. A certain educational background is not required. The course is also available in Finnish, click here to go to Finnish version. This 2-ECTS-MOOC is maintained by the University of Oulu and it is free-of-charge.


This MOOC must be completed before the course area closes on the 31st of July 2025. Partially completed assignments do not carry over to the next course area that opens on the

the 1st of August 2025.
