Smart Utilization of Renewable Energy Systems – 10 ECTS 

Course Description: 

This comprehensive course program is designed to equip students with an in-depth understanding of the integration and smart utilization of renewable energy systems in buildings. Including four modules, the course focuses on energy transitions, the fundamentals of renewable energy systems (RES), photovoltaic systems (PV), and load management systems (LMS), with the necessary knowledge of the latest technological advancements and legislative frameworks within the EU context. 

Students will delve into various topics, including the historical evolution of energy systems, the role of renewable energy in the built environment, the principles of energy communities, and the technological innovations in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal. The program also covers the advanced knowledge of photovoltaic system design, installation, and regulatory standards, as well as the dynamics of battery energy storage systems, building automation systems, and vehicle-to-grid technologies. 

This course is ideal for students aiming to contribute to the field of renewable energy, particularly in the context of building management and smart energy systems.
