Course Description
This 5-credit international collaborative study unit offers an in-depth exploration of resilience at both personal and organizational levels, with a focus on the unique challenges faced by the Baltic Sea region. Students will gain critical knowledge on how to build resilience frameworks that address regional economic, environmental, and societal issues. The course emphasizes developing security culture and adaptive capacities in response to ongoing and future geopolitical and economic challenges in the Baltic Sea area.
This course equips students with the tools to create robust, resilient futures in the Baltic Sea region, with practical applications for leadership, policy-making, and organizational development.

Learning objectives
· Critically analyze resilience frameworks and their application to specific challenges in the Baltic Sea region.
· Evaluate and implement psychological strategies to enhance personal resilience in response to adversity, with a focus on culturally relevant mental health practices in the Baltic Sea region.
· Design organizational resilience strategies that integrate leadership approaches, long-term planning, and sector-specific adaptations.
