GENERAL OBJECTIVE

The learner will be introduced to:

         key terms, processes and chemicals used in sustainable leather production, as well as new tanning processes for leather production,

         applying safety and preventive measures when handling chemicals in the leather production processes, based on EU criteria, BAT and the Industrial Emission Directive

         appropriate physico-chemical methods to assess efficiency of innovative processes according to specific standards or methodologies.
