GENERAL OBJECTIVE |
The learner will be introduced to: · Understand the principles of sustainability and circular economy within the textile lifecycle, from raw material sourcing to end-of-life management. · Apply Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies to evaluate the environmental impact of textile and clothing products and processes using a computer software. · Measure the environmental impacts of a product over its life cycle. · Define environmental hot spots within a life cycle. · Understand Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies and their application in assessing the environmental impacts of textile and clothing products and processes · Conduct LCA studies, interpret results and use these insights in decision-making to minimize environmental impacts. |
