In this MOOC course you will learn the basic concepts of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) , drone mapping and application in research. You will learn about Traficom rules regarding drone usage in Finland and the processes you need to take to obtain your drone pilot licence. In this course you will be working with the OpenDroneMap open-source software which you can easily install on your personal laptop pc. This course includes basic theoretical aspects and some practical exercises. The theoretical part also includes self-assessment questions to test your understanding of the course materials. We have provided all materials and data you need to complete this course successfully.
